Cricket fans have flocked to Kayo Sports this summer, with BBL13 already the most streamed series of all time ahead of the finals.
Fox Sports on Friday confirmed that more than 558 million minutes of BBL content – including live action, pre and post-game coverage and short-form content, including Kayo Minis – had been streamed by viewers. Overall, viewership data from games one to 37 of the BBL regular season indicated 16 per cent year-on-year growth.
The most streamed moment of the BBL season so far was Aaron Finch’s farewell match between his Melbourne Renegades and the Melbourne Stars, with more than 170,000 people streaming his final BBL innings. It was the all-time No. 1 streaming audience for a regular season BBL game.

Kayo Minis, in particular, have been a big hit with fans this summer, up 112 per cent from BBL12 minis.
“The backbone of our BBL season has been our world-class commentary team,” Fox Cricket General Manager Matt Weiss said.
“Led by Adam Gilchrist and Mark Howard, the addition of international broadcasters like Ravi Shastri, Ian Smith, Michael Vaughan, Isa Guha, Harsha Bhogle and Wasim Akram has taken our Fox Cricket broadcasts to another level.”
The streaming surge comes with BBL crowds also rising by 27 per cent this summer, with more than 800,000 people attending regular season matches.
There were six sold-out matches in the regular season, with another five games bringing in more than 40,000 fans — which hadn’t been done since BBL06. Cricket Australia said almost every BBL club had recorded an increase in average attendance.
“The calibre of cricket has been world-class this season and it’s been pleasing to see the fans tune in and turn out in large numbers to support their teams,” Big Bash boss Alistair Dobson said.
“The BBL continues to be the most-watched league in the country and we’re looking forward to taking that to the next level throughout the finals series.”

The Brisbane Heat will take on the Sydney Sixers on Friday night in The Qualifier, with the winner to earn hosting rights in The Final on Wednesday.
The Perth Scorchers will then host the Adelaide Strikers on Saturday night in the Knockout fixture, with the winner to progress to Monday night’s Challenger where it’ll take on the loser of the Heat-Sixers clash.
Fox Cricket, available on Kayo Sports and Foxtel, will continue to be the only place to watch and stream every ball from every game across the BBL season until the end of the 2030-31 summer.
