Nikita Tszyu survived his very own “Terrell Gausha moment” to climb off the canvas and come back in brutal fashion to stop Dylan Biggs.
The bout began in explosive fashion as Biggs, the defending Australian super welterweight champion, dropped Tszyu in the early stages of the first round.

Biggs’ punch stunned the Newcastle Entertainment Centre into silence as Tszyu looked to be in real trouble.
The man known as the ‘Beaudesert Storm’ poured on the pressure in an attempt to secure a first round finish, but Tszyu managed to weather Biggs’ barrage and make it to the end of the round.
Unfortunately for the Queenslander, the knockdown was as good as it got for him as Tszyu grew into the fight with each passing round.
Eventually Tszyu would finish Biggs off once and for all when he dropped him with a thunderous body shot in the fifth round.
Although Biggs courageously got back to his feet, it was only a matter of seconds before Tszyu stopped him as the referee saved off the champ from further punishment.

The ability to come back after being knocked down drew eerie similarities to when Nikita’s big brother Tim got dropped early in his fight against Terrell Gausha in March last year, only to come back and earn a dominant decision.
Speaking on the post-fight panel, the Courier Mail’s Peter Badel acknowledged how the brothers shared an “almost identical” in-ring moment.
“I said before the fight, I thought Biggs would win,” Badel said.
“In the first round I thought that was emphatically going to be the case.
“When he drops him, it was almost like a Terrell Gausha moment for Tim Tszyu. Almost identical. A flash knockdown.

“Nikita, seems like he’s out on his feet but then gets up and shows great patience and resilience and ultimately the brutal brilliance to then rip into Dylan Biggs.”
Tszyu also conceded he was in “deep waters at the very start” and knew Biggs’ right hand “was something to fear” and “watch out for.”
But he pointed to his older brother’s ability to come roaring back as a reason why he had to return serve.
“As soon as I was getting up off the canvas, I was like, ‘S***, that was a good shot,” Tszyu said.
“I knew I had to stay composed, keep the discipline going and push through.
“My brother did it with Gausha, so there was no excuse for me not to do it.”
