However, one of the Strikers’ three losses this season came against the Heat in the last time the two sides faced off.
The Heat won with just one ball remaining as Mignon du Preez’s innings of 60 from 49 proved crucial.
Adelaide did manage to beat Brisbane in their first encounter this season, adding extra spice to the final.

Clinical bowling from the Strikers helped restrict the Heat to just 89 runs in that clash, with Amanda-Jade Wellington and Megan Schutt taking impressive figures of 3/14 and 3/16 respectively.
The Heat know they cannot afford a similar batting performance if they are to add their third WBBL title, having previously won the title in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 campaigns.
