Aussie great Adam Gilchrist has delivered a hilarious clip to ex-teammate and colleague Brett Lee as the NSW great’s iconic rock band Six and Out returns to the stage.
The 90s and early 2000s rockers, who featured Lee and his brother Shane plus Gavin Robertson, Brad McNamara and Richard Chee Quee are playing a special show in Melbourne on Thursday night.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese requested that Six and Out reunite for the 100-year anniversary of the Marrickville Lawn Tennis Club, because his partner Jodie Haydon was a massive fan of the group in their heyday.

That sparked the group to continue their revival with three gigs this summer, at The Espy in St Kilda on December 28, Paddington RSL in Sydney on January 3 and The Gov in Adelaide on January 19.
“They (Albanese and Haydon) loved listening to Six and Out when they were in, dare I say, their prime,” Gilchrist quipped on Fox Cricket.
But that wasn’t the only little jab he aimed right at Lee.
“Brett Lee, back in the day when we all had CDs, he packed them in the front seat of his car. All sorts of music, he had a great back catalogue of music,” Gilchrist said.
“His car was broken into and every CD was stolen except for the Six and Out CD!”
Safe to say Binga won’t be dedicating any performances of ‘Can’t Bowl, Can’t Throw’ to Gilly any time soon.
