The Thunder won the flip and elected to bat first at a sold-out Showground Stadium, but they’re off to a tough start at 4/75 off 10 overs.
But Alex Ross and Daniel Sams helped steady the ship and it’s now 4/118 after 15 overs.
Ross was given out caught in the deep in the 15th over and was walking off before replays showed it wasn’t taken cleanly by James Vince and the decision was overturned.

MATCH PREVIEW
The Sixers are looking to make it five wins in a row over the Thunder when the rivals meet in what’s shaping as a Sydney Smash derby sell-out.
They went down in the final over against the Stars in their last start but the Sixers, who won their first three games, remain a title contender this summer.
The Thunder are 1-3 and in need of a win after already dropping several close clashes in this shortened 10-game season.
They’ve lost their last three at Sydney Showground Stadium and will be desperate to snap a four-game losing streak against their cross-town rivals.
