A devastated Broncos skipper Adam Reynolds was crying in the sheds at the break after injuring his knee on the stroke of halftime.
We’ve got ourselves a shootout in Melbourne with the Broncos and Storm piling on six tries – three of which were spectacular – in the opening 40 minutes.
Storm superstar Xavier Coates put in a late nomination to earn himself a trip to the Paris Olympics when he launched himself into the night sky and came down with the ball to score in the 24th minute.
But the Broncos weren’t to be undone and then produced two tries in a matter of minutes that stunned the Melbourne crowd into silence.
Reynolds went down on the final play of the half clutching at his knee.

Broncos coach Kevin Walters has made just one change to the side that thrashed the Cowboys on Good Friday.
Promising forward Xavier Willison is out of the Storm clash after suffering a head knock at training. He has been replaced on the bench by 205cm, 19-year-old debutant Benjamin Te Kura, who has sat the world alight in the Queensland Cup so far this season
The Broncos are missing stars Reece Walsh, Payne Haas and Brendan Piakura, with all three expected back on deck by Rounds 8-9.
