It’s a true eight-pointer that’ll shape the eight as GWS and Fremantle play a virtual win-and-in game this afternoon in Sydney.
The Giants (14-7, 111.8%) will clinch a finals spot with a victory, and stay in the hunt for a top-two finish and home qualifying final. But with a loss their would still be at risk of missing the eight entirely.
After losing their last two the Dockers (12-8-1, 115.2%) are even more desperate for the four points. They could end the round outside the eight if they lose this afternoon, but would be on the fringes of the top-four fight with a victory.

The home side have made three changes from last week’s win in Brisbane, resting Harvey Thomas and dropping duo Xavier O’Halloran and Max Gruzewski.
In their place come in powerful duo Stephen Coniglio and Kieran Briggs, as well as Toby McMullin who has overcome a groin complaint.
The Dockers are without Sean Darcy and Josh Treacy for the second straight week, pivoting towards untried tall Liam Reidy and Nathan O’Driscoll for his first game at the top level this year.
Omitted was last week’s late inclusion Matt Taberner and Karl Worner.
The game gets underway at 1:45pm AEST from ENGIE Stadium.
Watch it live on Fox Footy (channel 504), streaming on Kayo and via Hubbl, from 1:30pm AEST.
