A thrilling race between two of the game’s fastest men headlines an action-packed clash in Bundaberg as the Bulldogs hold a 18-10 lead over the Dolphins.
Jacob Kiraz opened the scoring for the Bulldogs in the 10th minute with the star winger diving over — and winding himself in the process.
While Matt Burton couldn’t add the extras, he got another opportunity to kick for goal after Felise Kaufusi was penalised and put on report for a late shot on Josh Curran.

That decision left Kaufusi — and Fox League commentators Andrew Voss and Corey Parker — baffled.
“Just because the attacker has turns that way doesn’t mean Kaufusi has to change his target… it’s not a late tackle,” Voss said.
Parker added: “He has committed to the tackle… he creased him and made him stay down based on where he hit hm and how hard he hit him.”
Spectators at Salter Oval, Bundaberg were later treated to a stunning foot race after Josh Addo-Carr ran 80 metres before Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow chased him down and came up with a try-saving tackle.
“This is out of this world,” Voss said in commentary.
Kiraz scored another to bag a first-half double before Addo-Carr got another shot at a runaway try with the speedy winger scooping up a loose ball to run 60 metres — this time he scored.
But the Dolphins hit back with their own runaway try three minutes later when Jake Averillo intercepted a Toby Sexton pass to run 70 metres and score against his former club.
