Premiering on Netflix beginning June 2nd is the second half of the fourth and final season of the popular series ‘Manifest.’
What is the plot of ‘Manifest’?
While traveling from Jamaica to New York City, Montego Air Flight 828 experiences a brief period of severe turbulence. When they land at Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, New York, the plane’s 191 passengers and crew learn from NSA deputy director Robert Vance (Daryl Edwards) that over five and a half years have passed while they were in the air, during which time they were presumed dead. As they rejoin society, the passengers begin to face the fact that their lives—and loved ones—are not the same as they were, while they also begin to experience guiding voices and visions representing events yet to occur, referred to as “callings”.
Who is in the cast of ‘Manifest’?
‘Manifest’ stars Melissa Roxburgh as Michaela Stone, Josh Dallas as Ben Stone, Athena Karkanis as Grace Stone, J.R. Ramirez as Jared Vasquez, Luna Blaise as Olive Stone, Ty Doran as Cal Stone, Parveen Kaur as Saanvi Bahl, Matt Long as Zeke Landon, Holly Taylor as Angelina Meyer, and Daryl Edwards as Robert Vance.
Moviefone recently had the pleasure of speaking with Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas about their work on the second part of the fourth and final season of ‘Manifest,’ what fans can expect, their final days on set, and their reaction to the final episode.

Moviefone: To begin with, Josh, can you catch our audience up on what happened at the end of the first part of season 4?
Josh Dallas: So as a result of Angelina’s actions at the end of part one, the passengers find themselves in an even more intense observation and scrutiny by the 828 Registry. They’ll find themselves in a very confined and isolated situation, which is going to make solving the callings much more difficult. The callings are no longer the passengers own to solve. The 828 Registry is heavily involved. So that’s going to create some major hurdles for Michaela, Saanvi and Ben to jump over as the death date is rapidly approaching. That’s where we start part two of season 4.
MF: Melissa, what is the focus of the second half of season 4?
Melissa Roxburgh: I feel like this is a trick question. The second half is we have the passengers in this detention center and that environment becomes a little bit more crazy, chaotic, and dangerous, and we really see the passengers approaching that death date. It’s crunch time and a lot of things come up for everyone. A few specific people definitely take the brunt of it, but that death date is coming and it’s all about trying to figure out how to stop it or deal with it.

MF: Josh, what were your final days on set like?
JD: I mean, it’s bittersweet because not only are we saying goodbye to this story and goodbye to these characters, but we’re saying goodbye to this family that we’ve built over the past five years of working together. I can say the last days on set were super emotional. There was a lot of different levels going on all at the same time, but we’re so proud of the show and we’re so proud of how the story ends. It’s terrifying, it’s surprising, and it’s super emotional, and I think the fans are going to be really pleased about how we tie everything up.
MF: Melissa, have you watched the final episode yet and if so, what was your reaction?
MR: I read the last episode. I have not seen it yet. Reading it was traumatizing.
MF: Josh, what was it like for you reading the final episode?
JD: Traumatizing. We did a big cast read-through of the final episode. I mean, it was ridiculous. I was a mess throughout the whole thing. Like that sort of really deep down, ugly gut cry. I was doing a lot of that and they filmed it. So I don’t know if that’s going to come out at some point. But it was super emotional. It was super emotional on many levels.
MF: Finally, Melissa, do you think the final episode will surprise fans?
MR: They’ll be shocked and relieved. I think that there’s going to be a lot of feelings going on.
