It’s safe to say Novak Djokovic’s relationship with the Australian Open crowd hasn’t always been perfect.

And to be honest, we can’t quite tell if this incident goes in the positive column or the negative one.
But it was good gear, either way.
The 24-time slam champion was enjoying his post-match interview after downing Czech Tomas Machac 6-1 6-4 6-4, when he was suddenly interrupted by a man yelling incoherently.
“Sorry mate, I have a wife,” Djokovic quipped.
“We can have a drink though. Maybe you’ve had a few already?”
Cue cheers from the Rod Laver Arena crowd, which prompted Djokovic to continue.
“Him and I were going back and forth for quite a while actually, since…” he said, before the courtside interviewer prompted: “Should we set up a date?”
Djokovic replied: “Listen, I’m happy to have a drink with him now that the match is over, we can reflect nicely on what we’ve said to each other during the match.
“…what were we talking about?”
Given how much of a perfectionist Djokovic is with his body, we doubt he actually wants to have a drink with the bloke.
Maybe they can share a special healing sphere or something.
