Islam Makhachev is set to defend the UFC lightweight title against Renato Moicano at UFC 311 after Arman Tsarukyan was a late withdrawal due to a back injury.

Makhachev has a 15-1 record with the UFC, claiming the lightweight title back in October 2022 against Charles Oliveira.
Since then, the Russian has defended his crown three times. In his most recent fight, Makhachev submitted Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 302.
The Brazilian Moicano is riding a four-fight winning streak for the first time in his UFC career. The 35-year-old has won six out of seven fights since June 2021 but is seen as a big outsider heading into a mouth-watering fight.
Merab Dvalishvili will defend his bantamweight crown against the undefeated fighter Umar Nurmagomedov in the other main event.
Nurmagomedov will be looking to continue his unbeaten run, while Dvalishvili will be hoping to cement his status as the undisputed bantamweight champion.
The rest of the main card is absolutely stacked. Jiri Prochazka squares off against Jamahal Hill, two former light heavyweight champs who are bound to provide plenty of entertainment.
Elsewhere, Jailton Almeida takes on Serghei Spivac and Reinier de Ridder will face off against Kevin Holland.
