MATCH PREVIEW
Adam Reynolds and the Brisbane Broncos host James Tedesco and the Sydney Roosters in a blockbuster clash at Suncorp Stadium.
Victor Radley has shifted to the bench with Salesi Foketi starting at lock.
Veteran halfback Adam Reynolds has been named despite injuring his hamstring against the Wests Tigers last weekend. Scans cleared the skipper on Monday but he’ll need to get through training this week and forgotten No. 7 Jock Madden is on standby in the extended squad. Madden hasn’t featured in the NRL this season but he’s been impressing in the Queensland Cup for Wynnum Manly in the Queensland Cup.
Last Sunday he booted 9/9 off the tee and scored a try in their 54-20 win over Souths Logan. Madden guided the Seagulls to victory against a Magpies outfit that included Anthony Milford, rising star and future Broncos halfback Coby Black, Martin Taupau, Ben Te Kura, Blake Mozer and Tyson Smoothy. Taupau did enough to force his way onto the Brisbane bench for this week’s clash against the Roosters while second rower Jaiyden Hunt makes a rare start with Brendan Piakura (suspended) out for the next two games and. Smoothy is getting closer to a NRL recall and has been named 18th Man.
