Three Bulldogs players and a Broncos player have been sin binned and placed on report at Suncorp Stadium, as match officials clamp down on players who make contact with the head.
Bulldogs prop Josh Curran was the first to go, sin binned and placed on report in the early stages for making direct contact to the head of Payne Haas.
Just 10 minutes into the game at Suncorp Stadium, Curran collected Haas high with his shoulder before being penalised and called out by referee Gerard Sutton.

Sutton gave Curran his marching orders, putting Canterbury down to 12 men.
Fox League’s commentary team agreed with the decision.
“Hits him flush on the chin. It’s more than moderate that,” Michael Ennis said.
“Unfortunately for Curran, who has been sensational for the Dogs this season.”

Warren Smith echoed Ennis’ sentiments.
“It just had to be (a sin bin),” Smith said.
“Leads with the shoulder and upper arm and collects him flush on the chin.”
Things then went from bad to worse for the visitors, with Sitili Tupouniua also placed on report and sent to the sin bin at the 33rd minute for making high contact on Brendan Piakura, when the Broncos were up 34-0.
“They are imploding,” Smith said, after Tupouniua was marched for 10 minutes.
“Ill-discipline has hurt them immensely,” Ennis added.
Then at the 52nd minute, Marcelo Montoya was also binned and put on report.
Piakura was tackled low by Viliame Kikau, and then fell into Montoya’s shoulder.
But Sutton sent him for 10 minutes as well.
“Marcelo Montoya paying the price for his side’s ill-discipline,” Ennis said.
That was before Broncos winger Deine Mariner was sin binned and placed on report at the 72nd minute for making high contact on Kikau in the lead-up to Bronson Xerri’s try.
The Broncos won 42-18 to end the Bulldogs’ six-game winning streak to start the season.
