Hawthorn will have the chance to restart another winning streak for season 2025 on Sunday afternoon, coming up against a rebuilding Richmond side on a sunny Sunday afternoon at the MCG.
The Hawks (5-2, 116.1 per cent) got back on the winners list last week with a 50-point win over the Eagles, after back-to-back losses. A win today will guarantee them a finish in the top three come the round’s end.
Their opponents the Tigers (2-5, 66.9 per cent) will be looking to separate themselves from the lowly North Melbourne and West Coast entirely today, with a win putting them two games clear of the Kangaroos and three ahead of the Eagles.

Interestingly, Hawthorn have only won two of their last seven clashes against Richmond, but that pair of wins have come in their last two matches. Additionally, the Hawks have won eight of their last nine games at the MCG; the only loss coming against Geelong on Easter Monday.
Sam Mitchell has pulled three changes for the afternoon clash, with Finn Maginness, Luke Breust and Changkuoth Jiath all returning to the 23 at the expense of injured trio Karl Amon, Jack Scrimshaw and Cam Mackenzie.
Adem Yze has made just one change, with Noah Balta brought back in after missing last week’s match with his court-ordered curfew. Debutant Campbell Gray is the player to make way.
The first bounce will hit the MCG turf at 3:20pm local time, with Bailey Macdonald (Hawks) and James Trezise (Tigers) the substitutes. There were no late changes.
