Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf has called out a reporter for asking him about a costly refereeing decision in his team’s 16-12 loss to the Warriors at Suncorp Stadium.
Warriors winger Roger Tuivasa-Sheck appeared to lose the ball forward when he dropped a kick late in the first half.
But the referee ruled that Tuivasa-Sheck had lost the ball backwards, and later in the same set, Kurt Capewell scored a try for the Warriors, which turned out to be a very costly one for the Dolphins, given the final margin of four points.

The decision left the commentators stunned.
“That’s a knock-on every day of the week,” Kevin Walters said.
Warren Smith agreed with him, replying: “Since 1908.”
“My goodness, that had to be a knock-on.”
In the post-game press conference, Woolf felt the reporter who asked him about the decision was fishing for a controversial response.
“You know I’m not allowed to talk about referee decisions,” Woolf said.
“You’re asking me for a reason.
“Everyone’s seen what happened there and it’s one we just need to avoid isn’t it.”

Meanwhile, Woolf provided an update on skipper Tom Gilbert’s pectoral injury.
“We won’t know the severity of it until we get scans. He’s obviously going to have some sort of time on the sidelines,” Woolf said.
“He is disappointed, but he is a tough man. He’s handled disappointment before and knows how to get through it.”
Woolf confirmed Gilbert won’t be playing in game one of the State of Origin series on May 28.
“He’s not going to be playing in the next couple of weeks with a pec injury,” Woolf added.
“I don’t know the exact severity. If it was minor he would have played on. The fact he came off the field…he’s going to be out for some period of time.”
