Bulldogs young gun Lachie Galvin and Tigers star Jarome Luai shared an embrace after their heavily-anticipated clash on Sunday afternoon.
For league legend Greg Alexander, the moment made him “feel good” and put to bed a supposed feud between the pair.
Galvin departed the Tigers after revealing he would snub the club’s extension offer and hit the open market, with claims of bullying in the squad following before his eventual departure.

Luai was one of the loudest voices regarding Galvin’s decision and he took to Instagram, posting an image that read ‘Team First’.
However, after Sunday’s game there was clearly no animosity between the duo, who previously partnered in the halves under Benji Marshall.
“That makes me feel good, because I don’t like reading all the hate. Because most of it is not right, and that was an example that it isn’t right,” Alexander said.
“Jarome and Lachie Galvin don’t spend the minute (or so) together if they despise each other.”

Meanwhile, Parramatta icon Nathan Hindmarsh added: “Isn’t that nice? You do things differently on the field and off the field obviously they can still talk to each other.
“But there you go, there’s a hug.”
Galvin was met with a wave of boos as he ran out onto CommBank Stadium before he came face-to-face with Luai.
“This is Lachlan Galvin’s seventh game as a Bulldog, it’s the first time though he faces the team he walked out on,” Warren Smith said on commentary.
As the camera focused in on the young playmaker, he delivered a wry smile as he geared up for one of the biggest occasions of his short career.
Inside 10 minutes, he also came face-to-face with Luai, who is known as one of rugby league’s fiercest competitors.

There was clearly some level of bad blood after the star Tiger threw a dummy and charged straight at Galvin, but that was put to bed post-match.
“There it is, Luai versus Galvin, and there’s a little bit there between the two former teammates,” Cooper Cronk said.
“Big right fend in the face. Watch the call it sportsmanship here… Luai in his face. Game on.”
