Tommy Fleetwood (-18) holds a three-shot lead from Patrick Cantlay and Russell Henley (-15) with two holes left to play in the final round of the PGA Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta.
Fleetwood has been the heartbreak story of the PGA Tour for several years, never having registered a victory despite winning ten times around the world and being a European Ryder Cup player.
It is why before the season finale, he said it would “be funny” if was to claim the US$10 million (A$15.5m) winner’s cheque and the title of FedEx Cup champion under the new format.

Fleetwood has twice squandered 54-hole leads this season, and will need to hold his nerve in the closing holes to hold off Cantlay, after the pair started the day in a share of the lead.
Cantlay is one over-par for the round, Henley is one-under, while Fleetwood is two-under for the day so far.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler, Corey Conners and Cameron Young are all in the clubhouse at -14.
Conners shot the low round of the day with a bogey free eight-under par 62.
