Adam Pompey scored what looked like a match winning try with only minutes on the clock after a towering bomb was put down by fullback Isaiah Iongi.
However, Demetric Vaimauga was deemed to have dropped the ball in the initial contest, leaving league legend Greg Alexander stunned.

“I don’t think his hand went anywhere near the ball,” Alexander said after the try was overturned, with the on-field referee awarding the four-pointer.
That try would have given the Warriors a conversion in front of the posts to kick and take a lead, giving them a huge boost in their big to finish their season in the top four.
Instead, Andrew Webster’s side will now be sweating on the results of the Broncos and Sharks, who can leapfrog New Zealand on the NRL ladder.
