Sea Eagles superstar fullback Tom Trbojevic is set to knock back a move to the Super League to ink a three-year contract extension with Manly worth close to $2.5 million.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported Trbojevic is set to ink a $2.5 million three year extension that will keep him at Manly until at least the end of the 2029 season.
Trbojevic’s manager Paul Sutton met with Manly general manager Peter Gentle this week to discuss his client’s amid reports the representative star was exploring a potential Super League switch.

Manly chose to offer a three-year deal, that will need to be rubberstamped by the board.
The new deal will include a ratchet clause to allow for an increased broadcast deal from 2028 and could see him earn close to $3 million.
The club also has a one-year extension on the table to his brother, Jake, who is weighing up retirement at the end of his current deal, which expires in 2027.
Trbojevic Jr has been weighing up his future over recent months telling those close to him of his frustrations with both his own fitness issues and the direction of the club.
His desire to explore his options elsewhere stemmed from not knowing if Manly wanted him and were just keeping him in a show of good faith for his service to the club.
However, the club allayed those fears and told Trbojevic they see him as a big part of their future.
The 28-year-old has scored 111 tries in 170 games for Manly since his debut in 2014 and won the Dally M Medal in 2021.
He has also scored nine tries in 10 Origins for the Blues and six tries in seven Test for the Kangaroos.

The Daily Telegraph reported Nawaqanitawase will sit down with his management in the coming weeks, as he weighs up his ambitions to play for the Blues and the Wallabies at home a World Cup.
Nawaqanitawase’s Roosters deal expires at the end of the 2026 season, with the club keen to extend his stay at the Bondi club, after he led the NRL try-scorers list in his rookie season.
The former Wallaby has no desire to test his value in the NRL market from November 1, with his allegiance to the Roosters if he stays in rugby league.
The sticking point in a new Roosters deal is the money involved and the chance to play for the Blues up against the opportunity of playing for the Wallabies in rugby union’s showpiece event.
Nawaqanitawase has two goals to achieve in rugby league, with a Kangaroos jersey looming for the Ashes Tour, while he would have to be picked for the Blues in 2026 in order to switch back to union in time for the World Cup.
However, Rugby Australia is yet to approach Nawaqanitawase about a return to the rugby ranks, but it is not off the table.
Nawaqanitawase may also opt for the riches on offer in Japan or France, given he can still play for the Wallabies from abroad.
The 25-year-old has scored 25 tries in 24 games for the Roosters since joining the club in 2024, including an NRL best 24 in 23 games this season to win the RLPA rookie of the year award.

TITANS EYEING STORM PLAYMAKER ON LOAN DEAL
The Gold Coast Titans are reportedly exploring the potential to pick up Storm halfback Jonah Pezet on a loan deal for 2026 amid growing interest in the rising playmaker.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported the Titans are eyeing Pezet as a potential short-term fix for their halfback dilemma under incoming coach Josh Hannay in 2026.
Some of the obstacles to a loan deal are whether Pezet is allowed to play against the Storm and whether he could be recalled home early if the Storm suffer injuries.
Pezet is contracted to the Storm until the end of 2029, but is stuck behind the superstar halves pairing of Cameron Munster and Jahrome Hughes.
The young halfback has a clause in his contract that allows him to explore his options if Hughes re-signed, which eventuated with the New Zealand No.7 signing extension last month through until the end of 2030.
The Storm also have Tyran Wishart signed for 2026, but he was benched in favour of Pezet in the win over the Bulldogs in the qualifying final last week.
The Titans are reportedly set for a mass clean-out with a up to 16 players told their services are no longer required.
The Titans believe Pezet will give new coach Josh Hannay the controlling halfback required to help the team climb up the ladder.
David Fifita looked set to join the Rabbitohs, but negotiations were passed due to the tragic passing of his father.

Reagan Campbell-Gillard has been linked to the London Broncos, while Alofiana Khan-Pereira, Phillip Sami and Brian Kelly have also been granted permission to explore their options.
The Storm have history of loaning players to other clubs to fast-track their development, with Harry Grant having a successful stint with the Wests Tigers when Cameron Smith was the main No.9 at Melbourne.
The Titans have struggled for a halfback since Scott Prince retired and played Jayden Campbell at No.7 in 2025.

Kieran Foran was the halfback before him and has recently retired, while ex-Wallaby Carter Gordon played just one game last season due to injury and that was at centre.
Campbell showed promise as a half, but five-eighth is probably the position he is more suited to given his explosive running game.
“I am focused on the finals series for us. But I am sort of an open book at the moment to any sort of loan deals or whatever that might be,” Pezet said on NRL 360.

“Obviously, the club has had a fair bit of experience in 2020 loaning out Harry there for a bit.”
NRL 360 host Braith Anasta, who is Pezet’s manager, added: “We are not sure where this is going to land right now, it’s sort of up in the air. But technically, he is a free agent.
“Of course [his preference] is to stay, but he is also a smart kid. Jahrome is the No.7 and he’s just re-signed. We saw the other night how he plays as a No.7.”
