Darts cult hero Luke Littler has stunningly fired back at his own home crowd during the PDC World Championship after advancing through to the quarter finals of the event.
The 18-year-old reached the last eight for the third consecutive year with his 4-2 defeat of fellow countryman Rob Cross on Monday night, and after doing so, had some choice words for the London crowd when probed on its hostile treatment.

“I’m not bothered. Really, I’m not bothered,” he told Sky Sports before laughing.
“Can I just say one thing? You guys pay for tickets … you’re paying for my prize money. So thank you, thank you for my money.
“Thank you for booing me! Thank you … It was hostile, nobody wanted me to win the game, but I proved them wrong.”
Littler threw fired 17 180s in the win. The winner of this year’s tournament will pocket £1 million (AU$2,012,325).
