The Perth Scorchers will be without star New Zealand import Finn Allen in their duel with the Adelaide Strikers at Optus Stadium on Sunday night.
A finger injury to the Kiwi opener has forced the home side to call upon local replacement player and Western Australia wicketkeeper Joel Curtis for the clash, in the sole change to their 14-man squad.

Intriguingly, their Adelaide opponents are only travelling with a squad of 13, with veteran South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi parachuting into the Strikers’ BBL plans at the expense of Pakistan import Hassan Ali.
After missing out on selection in the side’s New Year’s Eve win, wicketkeeper Harry Nielsen has been omitted from the squad entirely, meaning occasional gloveman Mackenzie Harvey will be behind the stumps again for the visitors.
Perth has won three of their first five games, while the Strikers have played one less game with an even 2-2 record this campaign.
The bat flip will take place at 8:30pm AEDT (5:30pm local time), with the first ball to be bowled 45 minutes later.
