Adelaide young gun Dan Curtin has been stretchered off from pre-season training after a knee dislocation to continue a summer of AFL carnage.
But there’s early indications Curtin has avoided an ACL injury as he prepares to undergo scans to confirm the extent of the setback.
It’s still likely to sideline the 20-year old for an unknown period and could delay his start to the 2026 season.

7News’ Tom Wilson shared vision of Curtin being stretchered away from the track at West Lakes in a video posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) after hurting his knee in a drill late in the session.
It continues a grim off-season injury toll across club land with multiple blows to key stars including Hawthorn’s Will Day (shoulder), while North Melbourne’s Jackson Archer and Carlton’s Jesse Motlop suffered ACL setbacks.
Curtin is coming off a brilliant second AFL season that saw him finish runner-up to Fremantle’s Murphy Reid in the Rising Star Award.
The rising Crows star has played 32 AFL games since joining the club with the No. 8 pick in the 2023 National Draft.
In other injury news at West Lakes, Sid Draper is likely be back in main training over the next fortnight after being managed all pre-season with groin soreness.
Meanwhile Ben Keays is expected to return from a minor hamstring issue shortly.
