The Indigenous side will be without Josh Kerr after he was ruled out with a minor injury, the nature of which is yet to be specified.
Leo Thompson, meanwhile, was forced to pull out of the Maori outfit after suffering what Bulldogs GM Phil Gould described as “general tightness” in his calf muscle.
Gould wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Thompson will have scans when he returns home on Monday and that he “didn’t appear to experience an incident or acute injury”.
However, Gould went on to add that when asked if he could have played if it was a grand final, Thompson said “he probably couldn’t”.
“That’s a concern,” Gould added.
