Brad Scott’s side will unveil three AFL debutants and one club debutant in the prime time fixture, with Max Kondogiannis, Dyson Sharp and Hussien El Achkar all named after strong maiden pre-seasons. Former Gold Coast midfielder Brayden Fiorini will also take to the field.
As for Sam Mitchell, he made two unforced changes with the omission of Harry Morrison and Finn Maginness, with the midfield duo making way for Ned Reeves and Cam Mackenzie.
All eyes will also be on Zach Merrett too, who will face off against the very club he tried desperately to be traded to last October.
The Round 1 match begins at 7:40pm local time in Melbourne, with the final teams for each side to be confirmed an hour beforehand.
Watch it live on Fox Footy (channel 504), and streaming on Kayo, from 6:30pm AEST.
