Aussie Cam Davis has produced one of the craziest shots ever seen on the PGA Tour, however it wasn’t enough to catch runaway winner Rory McIlroy in the Pebble Beach Pro Am.

McIlroy carded -21 for the tournament, two shots clear of good friend Shane Lowry. Davis was back in a tie for fifth (-17). It’s McIlroy’s 27th win on the PGA Tour.
McIlroy’s round was full of thumping drives and glittering approach shots, but none of those compared to Davis’ effort on the 18th.
Having hit his second shot left, Davis was faced with a near impossible third shot after his ball landed inside the roots of a cypress tree.
Not only that, but Davis had a massive bunker between his ball and the green.
Somehow, the Aussie produced a miracle shot between the roots and over the bunker to not only land on the green, but one foot from the hole.
“Oh come on now. You’re kidding,” legendary sportscaster Jim Nantz said in commentary.
It sparked plenty of reaction on social media, with several noting the difficulty of the shot was only increased by the risk of injury.
Davis tapped in the putt to secure birdie and a bogey-free final round 69.
Compatriot Adam Scott arguably had the round of the day, shooting an -8 par 64. He was too far back to threaten the winner at the start of the day though, finishing the tournament on -10.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is fighting for a top five finish in his PGA Tour season debut. He’s -14, four shots back with three holes to play.
