The competitors for the famous Longest Kick trophy have been revealed, including a Blues legend hoping to become the first ever dual winner.
Fox Footy can confirm the 10 kickers for this year’s Longest Kick, which has become a staple of Grand Final Day with competitors attempting to boot the Sherrin as far as possible across the Yarra River.

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE LONGEST KICK?
Fox Footy’s Longest Kick will take place on AFL Grand Final day on Saturday September 30. It’ll be held at Lower Terrace, Birrarung Marr on the Yarra River.
HOW CAN I WATCH THE LONGEST KICK?
You can catch the Longest Kick live on Fox Footy — via Foxtel and Kayo Sports — from 11.30am (AEST). It’ll be hosted by Bounce trio Jason Dunstall, Andrew Gaze and Ben Dixon.
WHO ARE THE COMPETITORS FOR THE 2023 LONGEST KICK?
Headlining the competitors is Hawthorn captain James Sicily, Carlton star Adam ‘Woof’ Saad and Western Bulldogs young gun Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.
Defenders Mason Redman (Essendon) and Trent Rivers (Melbourne) will also be competing, while recently-retired four-time premiership star Isaac Smith will look to go out with a bang … literally.
With many Lions fans no doubt to be in attendance, veteran Brisbane left-footer Daniel Rich looms as a crowd favourite at the event, which will take place just hours before the first bounce of the 2023 AFL Grand Final.
Dual Coleman Medallist Brendan Fevola will be looking to become the first two-time Longest Kick winner, after taking out the coveted trophy in 2017 with a 66.1m bomb,
Former Carlton and Gold Coast ruck and podcaster Daniel Gorringe is the other wildcard entrant.
AFL fans will also get a glimpse of one of this year’s top draft prosects, with Tasmania’s Arie Schoenmaker to compete. Schoenmaker, a unique 194cm left-footed prospect that has played across wing and half-back this year, is regarded as one of the longest kicks in this year’s draft pool.
A year-long campaign from social media sensations Marmalade to participate in the fan-favourite event has paid off, with the two footy fanatics Checkers and Srey putting boot to leather for the ceremonial kick.
