The AFL world has been rocked by another shock passing after premiership Eagle Adam Hunter died overnight at the age of 43.
The West Australian reported Hunter was found dead just after midnight on Wednesday morning in Bunbury.
The Eagles confirmed Hunter’s passing on Wednesday.
“We are devastated by the loss of 2006 Premiership Eagle Adam Hunter,” an Eagles social media statement read.

“Our thoughts are with his family, teammates and friends.”
It extends a tragic week for the footy community, with the passing of long-time assistant coach Dale Tapping and former Brisbane player Troy Selwood. Selwood’s twin brother, Adam, was a premiership teammate of Hunter’s at West Coast.
Renowned as a genuine ‘swingman’ for his ability to play either forward or back, Hunter played 151 AFL games.
He won a premiership with the Eagles in 2006, famously kicking West Coast’s final goal of the Grand Final against Sydney to help seal the flag for his team. He kicked a career-high 29 goals in the Eagles’ premiership year.
After a strong 2007 season — which saw him finish second to Darren Glass in the Eagles’ best and fairest award — Hunter endured two injury-plagued seasons, leading to his retirement in 2009.
