Meg Lanning has produced one of the greatest knocks ever seen in the WBBL.
The former Australian skipper smashed the third highest score in competition history as the Stars piled on a monster score against the Sixers.
Lanning has done some special things with the bat but this was on another level as she whacked 135 off 74 deliveries to help the Stars post 4-219 – the third highest WBBL total.

Only Lizelle Lee (150 not out) and Grace Harris (136 not out) have scored more in an innings.
But even they may not have been as majestic as what we saw on Thursday night from one of the best cricketers of all time.
Lanning hit 22 boundaries and cleared the ropes four times, with the Stars opener reaching triple figures off 61 deliveries as she teed off with a mix of power and perfect placement.
She was eventually caught in the deep but not before she reached her highest ever T20 score, with fellow opener Rhys McKenna adding 50 off 34 as they put on 159 for the first wicket.
“It was a bit slow going early on but it flattened out nicely, the wicket, and I guess (it was) one of those days where everything sort of works in your planning and execution,” Lanning said at the innings break.
“It was nice working with Rhys. She provides a nice foil for me and she hits the different areas too. Once we sort of got into a rhythm we just wanted to hunt the boundaries and put as much pressure as we could on the Sixers.”
RAINING ON THE PARADE
Sydney’s wet weather threatened to rob the Stars of a comprehensive win when players were forced from the field after four overs in the second innings, one short of what is needed to constitute a match.
The hosts were 4-21 at that stage with international quick Kim Garth ripping through the top order with the remarkable figures of 4-3 from her two overs.
Garth trapped Aussie skipper Alyssa Healy in front for a golden duck and knocked over Ellyse Perry in a stunning spell of swing bowling before heavy rain forced players off.
The game was delayed by just over 45 minutes but play resumed with the Sixers needing an astronomical revised target of 154 runs off 10 overs in a shortened chase.
The rain only delayed the inevitable with Sydney capitulating in the chase to be all out for 42, their lowest WBBL total, as they crashed to their heaviest defeat.
