Australia’s boxing princess Jazzy Parr has accused ringside officials of “dodgy s…” after suffering a shock, and extremely controversial, split decision loss against Shannon O’Connell on the last No Limit on Fox showcase of 2024.

The decision, which was widely booed by the crowd, formed part of an action-packed night where Olympian Callum Peters announced himself on the professional scene with a brutal KO and Queenslander Desley Robinson fought through all of her fight with a fractured foot to claim the IBF women’s middleweight crown.
But undeniably, the story of the undercard was Parr.
Coming into the bout on an undefeated tear stretching six straight fights, the daughter of Australian fight legend John Wayne Parr was left seething after judges gave the fight to O’Connell 80-72, 75-77 and 78-74.
Asked by Fox Sports Australia immediately afterwards for her thoughts, Parr responded: “Man, look at her face and look at my face.
“She was running the whole fight.
“I will rematch her right now.
“I will do 10 more rounds, I don’t give a f…
“She was gassed from the second round.”
Parr was particularly furious with the judge who awarded O’Connell all eight rounds.
“That’s unexplainable,” she continued.
“It’s boxing I guess and I’m new to the sport, apparently.
“But I know for a fact I’m a fighter and I know I won that.
“It’s just dodgy s…
“I’m lost for words.
“It’s highway robbery.
“Everyone in the crowd (afterwards) said it’s your fight.”
Parr said her corner stressed right throughout the fight that she was winning
“I had to pick up the pace in the third round,” she said, “and I did exactly what I needed to do.
“I dominated.
“Look at my face.
“I knew she wasn’t going to last the whole fight and she didn’t.
“She was running.
“Stand there and fight me like a woman.”
So as for if she expects an immediate rematch?
“I’d better get one,” Parr said.
“She’s 41 years old.
“Who knows how long she has left?”
Elsewhere, 22-year-old Olympian Peters has announced himself to the national boxing scene with a brutal first round bodyshot finish.
Fresh off the Paris Games, the fighter dubbed ’50 Cal’ needed less than three minutes to earn the first big finish of his professional career – and immediately afterwards offered out the fighter sharing the same name as his No Limit promoter George Rose.
Facing Wollongong’s Mitchell Holden, Peters dropped his rival in the opening moments with a strong bodyshot and then, when Holden found his feet, dropped him with a second bodyshot which finished it.

The win came on a night where also Robinson fought through 10 rounds with a fractured, and heavily strapped, right ankle to beat Kaye Scott in a world title fight and anticipated rematch.
“It’s f…ing mine,” a jubilant Robinson said in the ring afterwards, before then revealing backstage how she had been prepared for the ankle to bust completely during the title bout.
“It’s still fractured, she said.
“I did it five weeks ago and haven’t been able to spar, haven’t been able to run.
“I’m just incredibly lucky that I’ve got the brains of my incredible team
“So we made do, trained in a moon boot.
“I thought worst case it breaks in the ring and we just stand there and fight.”
While Robinson will now look to make a world title defence early in 2025, Peters said he was willing to throw down with the Rose, who he had been initially slated to fight before Holden was called up on 48 hours notice.
As revealed by Fox Sports Australia this week, Albury product George Webb-Rose was initially supposed to face Peters – a 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medallist – in Friday night’s No Limit on Fox showcase at The Star.
However, the 22-year-old was refused a licence by the NSW Combat Authority, who have since revealed the issue stems from “submissions and representations from police”.
