Australian Test batter Josh Inglis is set to make his first appearance of the BBL season as the Perth Scorchers take on the Sydney Thunder at Engie Stadium in a must-win clash for both sides, starting at 7.15pm AEDT.
With one to their names each, the Scorchers and the Thunder need a victory to give their finals chances a significant boost after a pair of disappointing starts to the tournaments.

Tonight’s winner will jump into fourth place, while the loser will need to fly home to make the top four.
Inglis’ return is a big boost to the Scorchers as Australia’s white ball gloveman, who featured in the Ashes series in Brisbane and Adelaide but was released for this match, will slot into a power-packed top order that also include national T20 skipper Mitchell Marsh, Kiwi dasher Finn Allen and rising star Cooper Connolly.
The Scorchers have been poor on the road in recent times, however, only winning one of their past seven matches away from Perth.
The Thunder have also won their past two meetings with Sam Konstas cracking a half-century in their most recent outing.
The Scorchers were bowled out for just 97 at Engie Stadium in that match with Chris Green taking 3/13 from his four overs, and he will no doubt be a key man once with his off spinners.
