Aussie all-rounder Cameron Green has scored an impressive century in his return from back surgery, tonning up for UK county side Gloustershire.
It was Green’s first competitive match since playing in an ODI against England in September of last year (206 days).
He went under the knife in October to fix a stress fracture in his back.

In his debut game for Gloucestershire, the 25-year-old reached triple figures in 171 balls before retiring hurt due to cramps.
“It’s been eight long months on the sidelines so to get back out here was very special and it’s always a good way to start your tenure,” Green said at the end of day one.
Green confirmed he will resume his innings on day two against Kent, with Gloucestershire 7-365.
The talented Aussie will play five red-ball matches for Gloucestershire as he aims to put himself in the frame for World Test Championship selection in June.
He became just the 10th player to score a first-class century on debut for the county side, with Australia’s Test Championship final at Lord’s on the horizon.
Given Green’s long history with stress fractures, his bowling is set to remain on ice until shortly before the Ashes at the end of 2025.
The last time Green played Test cricket was against New Zealand in 2024, having belted an impressive 174 not out while batting at No.4.
It remains to be seen how the Western Australian will fit into the Test side, with Steve Smith returning to the middle order and Beau Webster emerging as a key all-rounder.
