Late Mail: A theory has emerged on why Ezra Mam was left out of the Brisbane squad despite being clear to return from a nine-week suspension. “It’s because it’s Women in League Round,” veteran reporter Phil Rothfield said on weekly podcast Off the Record. “That’s the mail I’m getting.” Rothfield added there may have been internal pressure and fears it would be a “bad look” for Mam to return during Women in League Round.
