The Brisbane Heat will be keen to return to their winning ways after a washout in their last start, but face a Sydney Sixers side wanting to get back on the winners list in a first against second blockbuster.
While the Heat endured a second washout in their last match, they’ve won all of their completed matches for the season, putting them atop the table.
The Sixers have had to deal with a loss followed by two washouts, but sit second on the table behind the Heat heading into Wednesdays clash.

Cummins and co. tear Pakistan apart | 01:50
Both sides were scheduled to face each other at the Gabba on New Year’s Day before rain saw it rescheduled.
This match got underway at 6:05pm AEDT from C.ex Coffs International Stadium.
The Heat won the bat flip and elected to bowl first.
Josh Philippe loomed large early, launching one ball out of the stadium as he began to build a total.
It was relatively meek apart from Philippe, however, with the Sixers struggling to really get going and losing wickets while doing so.
The Heat eventually dismissed Philippe for 41, adding to their strong position, with a run out of Moises Henriuques adding to the drama.
“That’s the worst possible scenario for the Sixers,” Michael Vaughan told Fox Cricket.
“Two players that were in, they don’t take the surge and they’re both out.”
A near miss in the field between Paul Walter and Nathan McSweeney had the Fox Cricket commentary team nervous in the commentary box.
“That would’ve been like running into a truck,” Mark Waugh said of McSweeney’s near collision with Walter.
“I had my heart in my mouth then, I thought that was going to be horrendous.”
A late flurry from Ben Dwarshuis gave the Sixers at least some hope, with the side finishing with 141.
The Heat started well but the Sixers botched some golden opportunities to take more wickets.
Several dropped catches made them pay, including Tom Curran missing a golden opportunity to take Josh Brown in the field, coming off the back of a couple of sixes from the opener.
Brown was ultimately dismissed for 43 via a Stephen O’Keefe stumping.
The Sixers began to make a play at an upset, taking multiple wickets, but rain threatened play, with a halt coming at the end of the 12th over.
