The Perth Scorchers will be out for revenge against the reigning BBL champions when the two sides face off in Hobart on New Year’s Day.
Less than a week after the Hurricanes travelled to Perth and came away with a four-wicket win, the Scorchers touch down in red-hot form off the back of their second 200+ score of this BBL summer.

They’ll be without Josh Inglis who returns to Australian Test duties; likewise the Hurricanes lose Beau Webster for the same reason.
But Hobart are also without star all-rounder Tim David who has been ruled out of the remainder of the series with a hamstring issue suffered while batting in Perth.
They do have home ground advantage though and that has been crucial for a Hobart team now boasting a nine-game winning streak at Ninja Stadium.
The second of the BBL New Year’s Day matches gets underway at Ninja Stadium from 7.15pm AEDT.
