The Perth Scorchers have suffered an early blow in their bid to secure the double chance in the BBL finals with English star opening batter Steve Eskinazi retiring hurt after a blow to the hand.
He copped a hit to his right hand in the third over and received medical attention in between overs, looking in considerable pain. He attempted to bat on, but could only manage to face up for two more deliveries before retiring hurt.
The Scorchers are 1/43 after six overs with Aaron Hardie (6*) and Josh Inglis (11*) out in the middle.
