Moses went for scans this week where it was revealed he had a stress reaction in his left foot.
He’ll have to wear a boot to aid his rehabilitation according to the Eels.
“Mitch has had a stress reaction in his left foot,’’ CEO Mark O’Neill said via a club-issued statement.
“We have sought independent and expert medical opinions and following this advice Mitch will be in a boot for a few weeks and is expected to miss six weeks of football.”
On Tuesday, Moses surprisingly wasn’t named to take on the Storm in Melbourne, with it later being revealed he was dealing with a foot issue.
Moses missed two months of football last year with a fracture in his foot.

This pre-season, the pain in that same foot reinflamed. He went for scans last month but they were inconclusive.
However, the latest scans on Wednesday showed a stress reaction in his left foot, which is the same one he injured last year.
“It snuck up on you, I don’t think anyone was talking about an injury to Mitch Moses so it was a bit of a surprise,” The Daily Telegraph’s Dean Ritchie said on Tuesday night’s episode of NRL 360.
“I text Parramatta this afternoon and they weren’t overly acknowledgeable about when he would return, it is indefinite at the moment.”
