The Bulldogs are reportedly set to bring a former winger back to the club to replace the outgoing Josh Addo-Carr in the form of Warriors flyer Marcelo Montoya.
The Daily Telegraph reported the Bulldogs are planning for life without Addo-Carr amid his drugs saga, with Montoya eyeing a return home to the Belmore club.
It is understood that Montoya is on the verge of returning to Canterbury having been granted permission from the Warriors to negotiate with rival clubs.

Montoya is signed until the end of the 2025 season with the Warriors, but the club has granted him permission to explore his options elsewhere and they are willing to grant him an immediate release from the final year of his deal.
The Tigers also expressed an interest in signing the Fijian international but the Bulldogs are now his most likely destination.
Addo-Carr is yet to decide on his long-term future after being granted permission to leave the Bulldogs, but the club is keen to ensure its future.

The 28-year-old has spent the last four years at the Warriors scoring 30 tries in 82 games for the New Zealand club.

SHARKS OPEN TALKS WITH YUNG ENFORCER
The Cronulla Sharks have entered contract extension talks with young forward Tuku Hau Tapuha as they revamp their forward pack for the 2025 NRL season.
The young firebrand is already signed until the end of the 2025 season, but is free to negotiate with rivals from November 1 for 2026 and beyond.
Hau Tapuha played 10 games for the Sharks in 2024 in a breakout season, adding to his three games for the Roosters in his rookie season in 2021.
The hulking prop was regarded as one of the Roosters’ most promising young players before being squeezed out of the club at the end of the 2023 season.
The 22-year-old spent the majority of the 2024 season with the Newtown Jets on their way to the NSW Cup title.
It is understood the Sharks are expecting big things and more game time for Hau Tapuha next season after the departures of Jack Williams (Eels) and Royce Hunt (Tigers).
Hau Tapuha is hopeful of staying at the Sharks and repaying the faith the club has placed in him in 2025 and beyond.
“It’s a place when I first came I kind of got a vibe of the join, and it’s a really drop your shoulders joint, and you can really be yourself,” Tapuha told Zero Tackle after winning the 2024 NSW Cup Grand Final against the North Sydney Bears a fortnight ago.
“It’s a place I really enjoy being around and everybody that makes up the organisation from the board to the staff to the players.
“They make it a really easy place to come into work and it doesn’t really feel like work when you’re enjoying it that much.”
