A potent Kuwarna (Adelaide) outfit will be looking to extend their recent success against Waalitj Marawar (West Coast) on Sunday afternoon, but they’ve opted to manage a a star veteran who has enjoyed serious success against them in the last two years.
The Crows (6-4, 124.7 per cent) have been right around the top four mark all season, but close losses to contending teams have prevented them from properly solidifying their credentials so far in 2025.
As for the travelling Eagles (1-9, 66.6 per cent), Andrew McQualter secured his side’s first win of the year in an emotional 28-point win over the Saints last Sunday to finally get their season rolling.

Kuwarna have won their last five match-ups against the Eagles, with their last three coming at an average margin of a tick under 15 goals. The Crows have also won their last three matches at Adelaide Oval.
Conversely, the visitors have lost their last eight games at the venue, last winning in Round 18, 2021. The Eagles last had back-to-back wins across rounds 21 and 22 last year.
Matthew Nicks initially pulled just one change from his side’s 10-point loss to Collingwood last week, with Luke Pedlar playing his first AFL game of 2025 in place of the omitted Luke Nankervis. But the Crows chose to rest Taylor Walker at the eleventh hour on Sunday afternoon, with Sid Draper coming in as his replacement.
Walker had the most daunting record of any against the Eagles of late, having kicked 21 goals from his last three outings against them — including bags of 10 and nine in 2023.
As for Waalitj Marawar, Jamie Cripps (knee) and Matthew Owies (calf) have been replaced by Tyrell Dewar and Noah Long, each playing their first match at the top level since Round 7.
The match gets underway at 1:10pm AEST from Adelaide Oval, with Draper (Crows) and Dewar (Eagles) the starting substitutes.
Watch it live on Fox Footy (channel 504) and streaming on Kayo from 12:30pm AEST.
