Alex de Minaur and long-time apparel sponsor Asics have gone their separate ways.
The sportswear giant and tennis star confirmed they will not have a formal arrangement in 2026, ending their 11-year partnership.

The announcement was made on Instagram with Asics and the 26-year-old sharing an Instagram post that included the caption: “Eleven years by your side. Grateful for every step, every memory. Proud to have supported you in your journey to the top”.
The post included one photo of a teenage de Minaur preparing to serve with a tagline: “Even the longest rally finds its last shot”.
Another photo of de Minaur serving from the baseline wearing black Asics apparel was also tagged: “Move your body. Move your mind”.
According to The New York Times’ Jessica Schiffer, de Minaur will be kitted out in Wilson-branded apparel during the 2026 Aussie summer.
The world No. 7 has had a racquet sponsorship with Wilson for years and he is expected to decked out in Wilson clothes throughout the 2026 ATP Tour.
He is not the only Aussie who will be looking different this summer.
Nick Kyrgios is also sporting a new look after ending his relationship with Nike ended in December.
Kyrgios, who had been with Nike since becoming a professional in 2014, left the apparel goliath to switch to emerging brand Stack Athletics.
If he is able to secure a wildcard to compete in the men’s singles draw at the Australian Open, beginning January 18, Kyrgios will sport the same brand he showed off to the world during his “Battle of the Sexes” event.

He has some experience in the space, helping to design a 2019 tennis shoe with NBA star Kyrie Irving.
Kyrgios was in 2015 marked as one of Nike’s future superstars when he appeared in a streetwear Nike campaign alongside Maria Sharapova, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
The relationship never reached the levels either party wanted.
The world No. 671 has received a wildcard to play in the main draw singles at the Brisbane International – commencing January 4.
De Minaur will instead be preparing for the Aussie Open by playing in the United Cup.
After a career-best season where he reached No. 6 on the ATP Tour rankings, “The Demon” is hoping to take the next step forward and challenge superstars Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
De Minaur is 0-13 against Sinner and has lost all five of his matches against Alcaraz, but he acknowledges that he must make changes if he’s to dethrone the two best male players on the planet.
“I think that’s something that we’re all trying to achieve,” he said on Sunday, with Sinner and Alcaraz combining to win the past eight grand slam titles
“There’s no other way than getting better. You have to bridge that gap.
“I’ve played some very close matches over the years with both of them, and you feel like you are getting closer and closer.
“You have to work on your game and find new weapons. For me, it is finding different ways to hurt these players. It might be being ready to take more risks and to be a disrupter.
“It’s a couple things here and there that we’ve been trying to work towards throughout this off-season in hopes to take that next step. There is no other way than just getting better, that’s all it is.”
He will again be the main hope when the Australian Open begins, with the local lad hoping to improve on his quarter-final run earlier this season.
