Details of the next AFL video game appear to have leaked out early.
AFL 26, the next instalment of the franchise from Big Ant Studios, has been listed with a release date of May 8 on sites including JB Hifi – after content creator Twistie discovered it had gone through the government classification process earlier on Tuesday.
It’s available for pre-order for $89 on PS5, Xbox Series and PS4. The box art shows a rating of M with cover stars Patrick Cripps and Ebony Marinoff.

It’s unclear when the game will be officially announced and there are no screenshots or video clips available yet.
The JB Hifi listing includes features like Pro Team, Player Career, Coach Mode and Academy Tools (to build clubs, players and stadiums), plus stats from Champion Data.
The previous game in the series, AFL 23, received middling reviews from critics. It has a Mixed rating on Steam from 369 reviews.
It’s expected AFL 26 will attempt to build upon and improve that core game.
