Bryson DeChambeau has issued perhaps the most damning statement yet on his future with LIV Golf as he revealed his frustrations with the breakaway league moving its goalposts.
LIV will play four rounds of golf for the first time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this week after announcing the change during the off season to try earn Official World Golf Ranking points for their events.

The possibility of that being achieved led to positive feedback about the change from the likes of Australians Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman.
But DeChambeau’s response was anything but positive.
The two-time US Open champion’s future with LIV remains clouded after Brooks Koepka’s defection back to the PGA Tour and Patrick Reed’s decision to leave the Saudi-backed circuit with a plan to re-join the PGA Tour once he has served a one-year ban in August.
DeChambeau raised eyebrows last month when at LIV’s media days to launch the new season, he said through gritted teeth: “I’m contracted through 2026, so excited about this year.”
Another interview he did during the media call has been more scathing, however.
DeChambeau revealed to The Today’s Golfer in an interview that was published on Monday, that he is angered by LIV’s backflip on the length of its tournaments.
“It’s definitely changed away from what we had initially been told it was going to be,” he said.
“So there is some movement that we’ve all been, I would say, interested in, and going, ‘why that movement?’ Because we were told it was going to be this. So that’s definitely made us have some different thoughts about it….
“I’ve got a contract for this year, and we’ll go through it there and see what happens after that. Look, it’s 72 holes, it’s changed, but we’re still excited to play professionally and play for what we’re doing and go across the world. I think it’s going to be great for our team.
“Is it what we ultimately signed up for? No. So I think we’re supposed to be different, so I’m a little indifferent to it right now…
“Hopefully it weighs positively on me over the course of time, but you never know. I’m not sure. We didn’t sign up to play for 72.”

DeChambeau along with Smith and Jon Rahm were offered an immediate path back to the PGA Tour like Koepka.
None of the trio followed Koepka in jumping ship, but the Australian and the Spaniard certainly seem more committed to LIV going forward than the American.
Former world No.1 Rahm was asked on Monday for his thoughts about Reed’s decision to quit LIV and play DP World Tour events until he is free to re-join the PGA Tour, and shared that he holds no animosity towards his fellow green jacket winner.
“I think each one has got to do what’s best for them,” Rahm said.
“We’re free to choose where we want to play golf. At least that’s how it should be.
“He’s made his choice. I have nothing really against him.”
Fellow LIV golfer and European Ryder Cup player Tyrrell Hatton agreed with Rahm.
“He was out of contract and he had options and he decided that for him to move forward he wanted to go back and play on the PGA tour,” Hatton said.
“If he was playing in LIV still, he makes the league stronger. He’s chosen his path and like Jon said you can only wish him the best moving forward.”
