The Dragons have reportedly poached Warriors halfback Ronald Volkman with an immediate switch to bolster their playmaking depth for 2024.
The Daily Telegraph reported Volkman has been released from the final two years of his Warriors deal to link with the Dragons in time for next season on a one-year deal.
Volkman joined the Warriors from the Roosters in a mid-season switch in 2022, but only managed one try from five games for the New Zealand club.

The Dragons have Ben Hunt and Kyle Flanagan as their starting halves in 2024, but see Volkman as reinforcements with the NRL set to deregister talented five-eighth Talatau Amone.

Te Maire Martin is signed for the next two seasons, while Luke Metcalf is contracted for 2024, which covers the five-eighth spot.
Chanel Harris-Tavita returns from a gap year next season on a three-year deal through until 2026 and can cover both five-eighth, halfback and hooker.

Harris-Tavita is seen as the logical replacement for Johnson in the Warriors’ No.7 jersey.
It is understood Volkman’s deal is for just 12 months despite the fact he had a two year deal at the Warriors, but he wants to return to Sydney and has a better chance at first grade with the Dragons as a back-up to Flanagan and Hunt.
The Dragons recently missed out on key targets Tom Dearden and Addin Fonua-Blake, but did re-sign Moses Suli long-term in a much needed win.
