You can scrap all the Jets playoff talk.

The Cardinals embarrassed the Jets, 31-6, dropping the Jets to 3-7 and erasing all of the happy talk that surrounded the team after last week’s win over the Texans.

The Jets showed that win over Houston last week was just a tease to suck Jets fans back into hoping and believing that this team would end the playoff drought that now seems destined to reach 14 consecutive seasons.

Watch an average of 3 games each week during the regular season, plus every game of the NFL Postseason including the Super Bowl, LIVE on ESPN with Kayo. New to Kayo? Start your free trial today >

Kyler Murray rushed for two touchdowns while throwing for 266 yards and a touchdown.

The Jets worried about stopping the rushing attack led by James Conner all week, but Arizona threw all over the vaunted Jets secondary. The Cardinals scored on their first five possessions, not punting until the fourth quarter.

The Cardinals had 239 yards and 18 first downs in the first half. The Cardinals finished with 406 total yards in the game and 28 first downs.

The Jets, on the other hand, could barely move the ball and when they did they faltered in the red zone. They had 85 yards and no touchdowns in the opening half.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished with 151 passing yards on 22 of 35 passing with no touchdowns.

Whatever the Jets offense thought they found in the second half against Houston did not make the trip west.

At the moment, the Jets and New York Giants are in a battle for who the worst ‘New York’ team is.

The Giants lost to the lowly Panthers in Munich earlier in the day to drop to 2-8 on the season.

Following the Jets’ loss, the two New York franchises are a combined 5-15.

FURIOUS STAR ATTACKS TEAMMATE ON SIDELINE

San Francisco 49ers star wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been caught pushing a teammate on the sideline in a heated and bizarre moment during his team’s win over Tampa Bay.

49ers escaped with a narrow 23-20 victory over the Buccaneers after kicker Jake Moody nailed a 44-yard field goal with no time remaining, but it wasn’t before Moody missed three field goal attempts throughout the game.

Following one of those misses, Samuel had some choice words for Moody, with 49ers long snapper Taybor Pepper jumping in to defend his kicker.

Samuel reacted to Pepper by pushing him in the neck and walking away, with Pepper incensed and having to be held back by other teammates.

It’s been a disappointing year for Moody and while the win was a game he’d probably like to forget given it kept Tampa Bay in the contest, he was able to get the last laugh when knocking over the game-winning three points.

It was a win the 49ers had to have given they were 4-4 in the most competitive division (NFC West) in the NFL this year.

The game marked the first of the season for 49ers stud running back Christian McCaffrey (107 all-purpose yards), who successfully returned from an Achilles injury.

CHIEFS REMAIN UNBEATEN FOLLOWING WILD FINISH

The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated after dramatically blocking a field goal as time expired.

With Denver trailing 16-14 with a few seconds remaining in the game, Broncos kicker Will Lutz had a chance to hand the Chiefs their first loss of the season.

Instead, linebacker Leo Chenal blocked Lutz’s attempt from 35 yards out as Kansas City notched its 15th-straight victory to remain spotless on the season.

The Chiefs have also won 12 consecutive one-possession games, nine-straight games where they had to overcome a second-half deficit, and are now 9-0 in first place in the AFC West.

“I don’t even know what to say … I really am at a loss for words,” the Broncos broadcast lamented in the aftermath.

Surprisingly, the Chiefs trailed 14-10 at halftime to the defensively-sound Broncos, led by rookie quarterback Bo Nix.

Nix finished the day 22-30 passing for 215 yards and two touchdowns, while Kansas City’s Super Bowl champion passer Patrick Mahomes was 28-42 for 266 yards and one TD.

Mahomes led a 10-play, 44-yard drive leading to a field goal with 5:57 left, before Nix returned serve with a 13-play, 43-yard possession that led to Lutz’s attempt from a manageable distance.

STEELERS ROLL ON AS NEW ACQUISTION MAKES STUNNING IMPRESSION

The two biggest surprise packets of the NFL season met on Monday (AEDT) when the 7-2 Washington Commanders played host to the 6-2 Pittsburgh Steelers.

It promised to be a belter. It would certainly deliver on that promise, with the Steelers scoring a game-winning touchdown with 2:22 remaining to win 28-27.

The Commanders held a 27-21 lead heading into the final quarter and were able to hold Pittsburgh at bay until late.

Enter Mike Williams.

Williams was having an ordinary season with the Jets before he was traded to Steelers at the deadline.

The downfield threat hadn’t impacted the game in his first appearance for the new team, until QB Russell Wilson called his number.

With the ball at the Commanders’ 32 yard line, Wilson threw up a high ball to the left sideline, with Williams beating his man in single coverage and catching the pass in the end zone.

Kicker Chris Boswell nailed the extra point to give his side the lead and the Steelers would make one more stop on defence to move to seven wins – just the fifth team to achieve that feat this season.

For Wilson, he’s now three from three as Steelers starting quarterback after injury delayed his season.

MAYE OUTDUELS WILLIAMS IN ROOKIE QB BATTLE

For the second time this season, Bears rookie QB and No. 1 overall draft pick Caleb Williams has lost to a quarterback taken after him in this year’s NFL draft.

Two weeks ago, Williams and the Bears fell to No. 2 pick Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders.

This week, Williams and the Bears took on the New England Patriots and their QB Drake Maye, who was selected third in the draft.

Unlike Williams and Daniels, Maye started his rookie season on the bench behind a veteran QB.

Since he was given the nod to start under centre for the struggling Patriots, Maye has been a revelation.

He added another feather to his cap in Week 10 by outplaying the guy taken two picks ahead of him.

Maye threw for 184 yards and a touchdown in New England’s 19-3 win over Williams and the Bears.

Despite boasting a more talented group of pass catchers, Williams struggled to get anything going offensivively.

He was 16/30 for just 120 yards and was sacked a whopping nine times.

Williams has had some terrific games this season, but he’s in a little bit of a funk at the moment, having not thrown a touchdown pass in almost a month and with the Bears losing their last three.
