After 13 years at the Alberton helm, Ken Hinkley will farewell Port Adelaide as their head coach on Friday night, alongside Travis Boak and Rory Atkins as they take on a Gold Coast outfit desperate to secure a maiden finals berth.
The Power (8-14, 79%) will be hellbent on sending off their much-loved coach on a high, having lost their last five matches by an average of 56.8 points.
Meanwhile, the Suns (14-7, 121.2%) are just one win away from securing a maiden finals appearance after 15 years in the AFL. Critically too, they have an extra game up their sleeve against Essendon next Wednesday, should the endure a shock loss tonight.

The Friday night clash will also feature a pair of debutants in 18-year-old key defender Harry Ramm and 21-year-old small forward Ewan Mackinlay.
Mackinlay and Ramm follow in the footsteps of fellow Power mid-year inclusion Mani Liddy, who’s played eight AFL games this year, when they face Gold Coast at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
Fellow retiree Rory Atkins also comes in for his last game, with Josh Sinn (injured), Ollie Wines (suspended) and Will Lorenz (omitted) to miss.
Meanwhile Gold Coast academy graduate Lachie Gulbin will make his AFL debut as the Suns look to clinch their first ever finals berth, coming in for Nick Holman
Gulbin, a 187cm forward, was a pre-selection in last year’s Rookie Draft and has played 15 VFL games this year. He is the Suns’ fourth debutant of the season, joining fellow Burleigh Bombers junior Leo Lombard, Ben Jepson and Oscar Adams.
The first bounce hit the Adelaide Oval turf at 8:10pm AEST (7:40pm local), with Rory Atkins (Power) and Sam Flanders (Suns) the starting substitutes. There were no late changes.
