How: Accredited journalists can attend the forum in person.
The forum will bring together MEPs and national parliamentarians, officials from other European institutions, civil society representatives and experts.
The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, and the Speaker of the Danish Parliament, Søren Gade, will open the session. There will then be a keynote speech by María Ressa, journalist and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. Commissioner Michael McGrath, responsible for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, will join in a conversation expected to touch on the European Democracy Shield proposal.
Key topics to be addressed:
