The AFL awards season is upon us after a sensational home and away season.
Gold Coast’s Sam Collins was the first winner this year, after being recognised for a strong season down back for the Suns – with Fremantle and North Melbourne having now also completed their best and fairest.

Brisbane’s Merrett-Murray Medal winner will be crowned on Thursday, October 3.
CARLTON
Carlton’s John Nicholls Medal will be awarded on Sunday, October 6.

Collingwood’s Copeland Trophy will be awarded on Friday, October 4.

FREMANTLE
Star midfielder Caleb Serong has become the first Docker in a decade to win back-to-back Doig Medals, pipping teammate Andrew Brayshaw as the best and fairest player for the second year straight. The midfield duo were trailed by Hayden Young after his excellent year around the ground, with forwards Josh Treacy and Sam Switkowski rounding out the top five. Veteran teammate Nat Fyfe was the last player before Serong to win consecutive Doig Medals in 2013 and 2014 – with Peter Bell and Matthew Pavlich the only other two players at the club to achieve the feat.

Key defender Sam Collins has won his second best and fairest after being crowned the 2024 Club Champion following an outstanding season. He became the fourth man to be win the award twice, following in the footsteps of Gary Ablett Jnr (4), Touk Miller and Tom Lynch (2).

Hawthorn’s Peter Crimmins Medal will be awarded on Saturday, October 5.
MELBOURNE
Melbourne’s Keith ‘Bluey’ Truscott Award will be presented on Friday, October 4.
NORTH MELBOURNE
Capping his seventh season as a Kangaroo, star midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke claimed his maiden best-and-fairest award.
Davies-Uniacke (242 votes) finished 13 votes ahead of the second-placed Tristian Xerri and 30 ahead of the third-placed Harry Sheezel.
Paul Curtis and Tom Powell were also top-five finishers after impressive campaigns.
Davies-Uniacke played every game for North Melbourne this season — a feat he hadn’t previously achieved — averaging a career-best 27.7 disposals per game, as well as 6.3 clearances and 5.3 inside-50s.
Sheezel received the Harold Henderson Best Clubman Award, while exceptional rookie Colby McKercher was named the club’s Best Young Player.
