It will be a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, which Kansas City won 38-35 before the Chiefs then made it two in a row the following year when they beat the 49ers in an overtime epic.

WHO IS PLAYING IN THE SUPER BOWL?
The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. It will be a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, which Kansas City won 38-35.
The Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a stifling defence, are trying to become the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row – completing their three-peat.
They’re already the first team to win two Super Bowls in a row and make it back to the Super Bowl the next year.
This is the Chiefs’ seventh Super Bowl appearance all-time, winning Super Bowls IV, LIV, LVII and LVIII, while losing Super Bowls I and LV. It is their fourth Super Bowl in five seasons.
The Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts and superstar running back recruit Saquon Barkley, are looking to avenge their 2023 Super Bowl loss to Kansas City.
This is their fifth Super Bowl appearance all-time, winning Super Bowl LII, while losing Super Bowls XV, XXXIX and LVII.
Kansas City went 15-2 in the 2024 season and is narrowly favoured to win the Super Bowl. Philadelphia went 14-3.
