The 15-year-old son of the 15-time major champion took his 7-iron on the 175-yard par 3 fourth hole at the Ritz-Carlton Club Orlando, Florida and put it stuck the ball on the green, which took two bounces and rolled straight into the cup.
The crowd erupted as Charlie did not realise the ball had gone in for a hole-in-one, and Tiger was left wondering what had happened all together.
The senior Woods had stepped away from the tee for a quick break, perhaps a toilet stop, and emerged to the roar of the crowd.
Once he realised that his son had just pulled off a miracle shot, Tiger celebrated more than if he had made an ace himself.
It was an incredibly wholesome family moment, with Charlie being heard saying “first one”.
Tiger also took the opportunity to stir up his son by telling him “you’re buying” as it is custom that whoever makes a hole-in-one shouts the bar.
Charlie quipped back in hilarious fashion, saying “I’m not buying. I’m broke”.
The Woods’ were in a share of the lead heading into the second and final round of the PNC Championship, a tournament run by the PGA Tour for a field of 20 teams of big-name golfers playing with a family member in a scramble format.
Tiger and Charlie have been at the top of the leaderboard for much of the day, as they try to close out their first win together, and Tiger’s first since the 2019 Zozo Championship.
