West Coast Eagles forward Jack Darling has suffered a hamstring setback at training, adding to the club’s injury list.
Darling suffered what the club is describing as a “minor hamstring setback” at training on Friday, which will see the 31-year-old managed in coming sessions.
The Eagles’ injury list includes a number of important players, including Liam Ryan, Dom Sheed and Elijah Hewett.
Round one for the Eagles is against Port Adelaide on March 17, while their official pre-season clash is against Adelaide on March 2.

North Melbourne duo Hugh Greenwood and Bailey Scott are worse for wear ahead of their pre-season hitouts.
The Herald Sun reports Greenwood was forced to leave the track with a rolled ankle during match simulation, while Scott only appeared briefly to run laps before coming from the ground with calf tightness.
Greenwood played 14 senior games for the Kangaroos in 2023 but should slot in more regularly in 2024 given the retirement of fellow midfield bull Ben Cunnington.
Scott had an impressive 2023 season, playing 23 senior games and finishing third in the club’s best and fairest count.
Zac Fisher, Aidan Corr and Eddie Ford headlined the rehab group for the Kangaroos, while Tarryn Thomas remains away from the club as the league investigates domestic violence allegations against the 23-year-old.
St Kilda has added Simon Dalrymple to its list management team, with the veteran joining the club as Talent Identification and Player Movement Manager.
Dalrymple spent six years at the Sydney Swans and prior to that spent seven years at the Western Bulldogs.
“We are thrilled to have Simon join the Saints,” Saints Executive General Manger of Football David Misson said.
“After a review of our List Management Team, we set out with a very clear picture as to the type of skills and attributes we required for this new role – Simon fits these to a tee.
“Simon has a proven ability to identify, track and obtain talent, while also keeping a broad eye on the overarching needs of a list.
“We look forward to welcoming Simon and his family to the club.”
It follows the departures of Chris Toce and Jarryd Roughead from the list management team, with Toce’s role being made redundant and Roughead moving on and subsequently joining Hawthorn.
