The Wests Tigers have agreed to let Lachlan Galvin leave the club immediately but they’ve reportedly slapped a $165,000 transfer fee on his back.

Galvin appears to have played his final game for the Tigers with the club bending to the Galvin camp demands for an early release from his contract.

Galvin rejected a $6 million deal from the Tigers and told the club he will leave at the end of his current contract which expires in 2026.

But the club have moved to fast-track Galvin’s exit unrest in the playing group and the five-eighth in mediation with the Tigers over bullying claims.

The final sticking point in his release was the transfer fee amount and the Sydney Morning Herald have reported the parties have agreed on $165,000.

The Tigers will grant Galvin permission to open negotiations with prospective teams, but with conditions.

One of those conditions is Galvin reconsidering his legal case against the club over bullying claims.

The Tigers board met on Monday and are keen to put the Galvin saga behind them but chief executive Shane Richardson wants a positive outcome for the club.

The Tigers have the bye this weekend and while both parties have remained tight-lipped there is optimism that a deal could be done as early as this week.

The Bulldogs and the Eels are believed to be the frontrunners to sign Galvin.

Under the game’s contracting rules, Galvin has until June 30 to move clubs for this season which means the parties have more than a month before a move this year is off the table.

However, there is understood to be an acknowledgment on both sides that it is in the best interests of both parties for Galvin and the Tigers to part ways.

The Tigers have Adam Doueihi and Latu Fainu in their system and have been linked with Broncos halfback Adam Reynolds, while Jayden Sullivan can also return from his Souths loan deal.
